✧ Umm Sulayman, his wife, asked ʿAʾishah, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, about the meat of sacrificial animals. She said: 'ʿAli b. Abi Talib returned from a military expedition and entered upon Fatimah, the daughter of the Messenger of God ﷺ. Meat from a sacrificial animal was brought to him, but he refused to eat it until he asked the Messenger of God ﷺ. The Messenger of God ﷺ said to him: "Eat it from Dhu al-Hijjah to Dhu al-Hijjah."

machine translationAḥmad narrated it, as did al-Ṭabarānī in al-Awsaṭ, and he said: "Umm Sulaymān did not narrate anything other than this hadith." I say: she was declared trustworthy (muwaththaqah), as is transmitted in the Musnad, and the rest of Aḥmad's narrators are trustworthy (thiqāt).
