✧ A man came to al-Hasan and al-Husayn and asked them. They said: 'Begging is only permissible for three: overwhelming need, heavy debt, or crushing burden,' and they gave him. Then he came to Ibn ʿUmar, who gave him without asking him. The man said to him: 'I came to your two cousins, and they asked me, but you did not ask me.' Ibn ʿUmar said: 'The two sons of the Messenger of God ﷺ were only teaching knowledge.'
