وَبِإِسْنَادِهِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:
إِنَّمَا مَثَلِي وَمَثَلُكُمْ كَمَثَلِ رَجُلٍ اسْتَوْقَدَ نَارًا، فَجَعَلَتْ هَذِهِ الدَّوَابُّ وَالْفَرَاشُ يَقَعْنَ فِيهِ، وَيَزَعُهُنَّ عَنْهَا، وَيَقْتَحِمْنَ فِيهَا، وَإِنِّي آخِذٌ بِحُجَزِكُمْ، هَلُمُّوا عَنِ النَّارِ، هَلُمُّوا عَنِ النَّارِ، فَتَغْلِبُونِي، فَتَقْتَحِمُونَ فِيهَا
Translation

✧ My example and your example is like a man who kindled a fire, and these insects and moths began to fall into it while he was trying to keep them away from it, but they plunged into it. I am holding onto your waist-wrappers, saying, "Come away from the fire, come away from the fire," but you overpower me and plunge into it.
