✧ A man from the Ansar came with two camels, and he hastened to feed them at night. He heard the muʾadhdhin of Muʿadh when he called the iqamah for prayer, so he entered and began the prayer with Muʿadh, who recited Surat al-Baqarah. When the young man saw that, he turned to his own prayer and left Muʿadh. Muʿadh said: I will mention what the Ansari did to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. The Ansari came to the Prophet of Allah and said: O Messenger of Allah, I entered the Maghrib prayer with Muʿadh, and he began Surat al-Baqarah, so I turned to my own prayer and left Muʿadh. Then Muʿadh entered, and the Prophet ﷺ said to him: O Muʿadh, are you a troublemaker? Are you a troublemaker? Recite 'By the sun and its brightness' and 'By the night when it covers' and the like of them.
