حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ: نَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ قَالَ: نَا الْمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ اتَّخَذَ خَاتَمًا مِنْ ذَهَبٍ، فَلَبِسَهُ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ، فَفَشَتْ خَوَاتِيمُ الذَّهَبِ، فَرَمَى بِهِ، وَاتَّخَذَ خَاتَمًا مِنْ وَرِقٍ، وَنَقَشَ فِيهِ: مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللهِ. ﷺ

✧ The Prophet ﷺ took a ring of gold and wore it for three days. Then gold rings became widespread, so he threw it away and took a ring of silver and engraved on it: 'Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah' ﷺ.
