حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ، قَالَ: نَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الصَّمَدِ قَالَ: نَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

أَكْثَرُ مَا أَتَخَوَّفُ عَلَى أُمَّتِي مِنْ بَعْدِي: رَجُلٌ يَتَأَوَّلُ الْقُرْآنَ، يَضَعُهُ عَلَى غَيْرِ مَوَاضِعِهِ، وَرَجُلٌ يَرَى أَنَّهُ أَحَقُّ بِهَذَا الْأَمْرِ مِنْ غَيْرِهِ

✧ What I fear most for my community after me is a man who interprets the Qur'an and places it in other than its proper places, and a man who thinks he is more entitled to this matter than others.
