حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ، قَالَ: نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبَّادِ بْنِ مُوسَى قَالَ: نَا أَبُو الْجَوَّابِ الْأَحْوَصُ بْنُ جَوَّابٍ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ قَرْمٍ عَنْ هَارُونَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ الْعَوْفِيِّ قَالَ:

سَأَلْتُ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ: مَنْ أَهْلُ الْبَيْتِ الَّذِينَ أَذْهَبَ اللهُ عَنْهُمُ الرِّجْسَ وَطَهَّرَهُمْ تَطْهِيرًا ؟ فَعَدَّهُمْ فِي يَدِهِ خَمْسَةً: رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ، وَعَلِيٌّ، وَفَاطِمَةُ، وَالْحَسَنُ، وَالْحُسَيْنُ قَالَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ: فِي بَيْتِ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ أُنْزِلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ

✧ I asked Abu Sa'id al-Khudri: Who are the people of the house from whom Allah has removed impurity and purified them with a thorough purification? He counted them on his hand, five: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, 'Ali, Fatimah, al-Hasan, and al-Husayn. Abu Sa'id said: In the house of Umm Salamah this verse was revealed.
