حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ، قَالَ: نَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ أَبِي الْعَبَّاسِ السَّامِرِيُّ قَالَ: نَا أَبُو أُوَيْسٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ. أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ أَخْبَرَهُ قَالَ:

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا افْتَتَحَ التَّكْبِيرَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ حِينَ يُكَبِّرُ حَتَّى يَجْعَلَهُمَا حَذْوَ مَنْكِبَيْهِ، ثُمَّ إِذَا كَبَّرَ وَرَكَعَ فَعَلَ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ، ثُمَّ إِذَا قَالَ: سَمِعَ اللهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ فَعَلَ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ، وَقَالَ: " رَبَّنَا لَكَ الْحَمْدُ "، وَلَا يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ حِينَ يَسْجُدُ، وَلَا حِينَ يَرْفَعُ مِنَ السُّجُودِ

✧ When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ began the takbir in prayer, he raised his hands when saying the takbir until they were level with his shoulders. Then when he said the takbir and bowed, he did the same. Then when he said, 'Allah hears the one who praises Him,' he did the same, and he said, 'Our Lord, to You belongs all praise.' He did not do that when prostrating, nor when rising from prostration.
