حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ، قَالَ: نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَابِقٍ قَالَ: نَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ طَهْمَانَ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ. عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ:
مَاتَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي بَيْتِي، وَيَوْمِي، وَبَيْنَ سَحْرِي وَفَخِذِي، وَجَمَعَ بَيْنَ رِيقِهِ وَرِيقِي "، قَالَتْ: " دَخَلَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَفِي يَدِهِ سِوَاكٌ، فَنَظَرَ إِلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ، فَظَنَنْتُ أَنَّهُ يُعْجِبُهُ أَنْ يَسْتَاكَ بِهِ، فَأَخَذْتُهُ فَطَيَّبْتُهُ، ثُمَّ دَفَعْتُهُ إِلَيْهِ، فَاسْتَنَّ بِهِ، فَمَا رَأَيْتُ فَمًا أَحْسَنَ مِنْهُ، ثُمَّ أَرَادَ أَنْ يُنَاوِلَنِيهِ، فَلَمْ تَقُمْ يَدُهُ، فَلَمَّا رَأَيْتُ ذَلِكَ أَخَذْتُهُ مِنْهُ

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ died in my house, on my day, and between my chest and my thigh, and he mixed his saliva with mine. She said: 'Abd al-Rahman b. Abi Bakr entered with a toothstick in his hand. The Messenger of God ﷺ looked at it, and I thought that he liked to use it for cleaning his teeth. I took it, softened it, then gave it to him, and he used it to clean his teeth. I never saw a mouth more beautiful than his. Then he wanted to hand it to me, but his hand failed. When I saw that, I took it from him.
