✧ I came to the Messenger of God ﷺ, and when I was brought before him, he said, "Indeed, I have asked God to aid me with a famine that will emaciate you, and with terror that He will cast into your hearts." He said with his hand altogether, "Indeed, I had sworn thus and thus that I would not believe in you nor follow you. But the famine kept emaciating me, and the terror kept being cast into my heart, until I stood before you. By God who sent you, is it He who sent you with what you say?" He said, "Yes." He said, "And is it He who commanded you with what you command us?" He said, "Yes." He said, "Then what do you say about our women?" He said, "They are a tilth for you, so come to your tilth as you wish. Feed them from what you eat, clothe them from what you wear, and do not beat them or starve them." He said, "Should any of us look at his brother's private parts when we are together?" He said, "No." He said, "Then when we are apart?" He said, and the Messenger of God ﷺ pressed one of his thighs against the other, "God is more worthy that you should be shy before Him." He said, and I heard him say, "People will be gathered on the Day of Resurrection wearing the mark of servitude, and the first parts of a person to speak will be his hand and his thigh."
