حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ، قَالَ: نَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ الْجَحْدَرِيُّ قَالَ: نَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ قَالَ: نَا سَوَادَةُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ قَالَ: نَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ قُرَّةَ الْمُزَنِيُّ قَالَ: " كَانَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ، يُسْأَلُ عَنِ الصَّرْفِ، فَيُفْتِي بِهِ، فَقَالَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيُّ قَوْلًا شَدِيدًا، فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ:
مَنِ الْمُتَكَلِّمُ ؟ "، فَقَالُوا: أَبُو سَعِيدٍ، فَقَالَ: " مَا كُنْتُ أَرَى أَنَّ رَجُلًا يَسْتَقْبِلُنِي، وَقَدْ عَرَفَ قَرَابَتِي مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ ". فَقَالَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَنْهَى عَنْهُ، وَيُحَرِّمُهُ ". فَكَانَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ بَعْدُ إِذَا سُئِلَ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: لَقِينَا مَنْ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ مِنَّا، فَأَخْبَرَنَا، فَانْتَهَيْنَا

✧ "Who spoke?" They said, "Abu Sa'id." He said, "I never thought a man would confront me when he knew my kinship to the Messenger of God ﷺ." Abu Sa'id said, "I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ forbid it and prohibit it." After that, when Ibn 'Abbas was asked about it, he would say, "We met someone more knowledgeable than us, so he informed us, and we desisted."
