حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ، قَالَ: نَا أَبُو الْخَطَّابِ زِيَادُ بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ: نَا مُؤَمَّلُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ قَالَ: نَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الْأَحْوَلِ عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيِّ. عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ قَالَ:
أَعْطَيْتُ نَاقَةً فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ، فَأَرَدْتُ أَنْ أَشْتَرِيَ مِنْ نَسْلِهَا، أَوْ، قَالَ: مِنْ ضِئْضِئِهَا، فَسَأَلْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ، فَقَالَ: دَعْهَا حَتَّى تَجِيءَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ هِيَ وَأَوْلَادُهَا جَمِيعًا فِي مِيزَانِكَ

✧ I gave a she-camel in the way of Allah, and I wanted to buy from her offspring—or he said, from her progeny—so I asked the Prophet ﷺ. He said, "Leave her until she comes on the Day of Resurrection, she and all her offspring together, in your scale."
