عن ابن عمرو
"إِنَّ مَلِكًا مِنْ مُلُوكِ بَنِى إِسرائيل أَخَذَ رَجُلًا فَخَيَّره بَيْنَ أَن يَشْرب الْخَمْرَ أَوْ يَقْتُلَ نَفْسًا، أَوْ يَزْنَى، أَو يأكُلَ لحم خِنْزِيرٍ، أَوْ يَقْتُلُوهُ إِنَّ أَبَى، فَاخْتَار أَنَّهُ يَشْرَبُ الْخَمْرَ، وإِنَّهُ لَمَّا شَرِبَهُ لَمْ يَمْتَنِعْ مِنْ شَىْءٍ أَرَادُوهُ مِنْهُ، مَا مِنْ أَحَد يَشْرَبُها فَتُقْبَلَ له صَلَاةُ أَرْبَعينَ لَيْلَةً، وَلَا يَمُوت وَفِى مَثَانَتِهِ مِنْهَا شئٌ إِلَّا حُرِّمَتْ عَلَيْهِ بِهَا الجَنَّةُ فإِنْ مَاتَ في أَرْبَعِينَ لَيْلَةً مَاتَ مِيتَةً جَاهِلِيَّةً".
Translation

- Ibn ʿAmr
✧ A king from the kings of the Israelites captured a man and gave him a choice between drinking wine, killing a person, committing adultery, eating pork, or being killed if he refused. The man chose to drink wine, and when he drank it, he did not refuse anything they wanted from him. No one drinks it and has their prayers accepted for forty nights. They will not die while they have it in their bladder except that paradise is forbidden for them because of it. If they die within forty nights, they die a death of ignorance.
