"إذا صلى الرجلُ المسلمُ ثُمَّ جَلَسَ بعد الصلاةِ صَلَّتْ عليه الملائكَةُ ما دام في مُصَلَّاهُ، وصلاتُهُمْ عليه: الَّلهُمَّ اغفرْ لَهُ اللَّهُمّ ارحمْهُ، وإذا جَلَسَ يَنْتَظِرُ الصَّلاةَ صَلَّتْ عليه الملائكةُ، وصلاتُهُمّ عليه: اللَّهُمّ اغفرْ له اللَّهُمَ ارحمه".
Translation
I heard ‘Ali ؓ say: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “When a person sits in the place where he prayed after praying the angels send blessings upon him, and their blessings upon him are: O Allah, forgive him. O Allah have mercy on him. And if he sits waiting for the prayer, the angels send blessings upon him, and their blessings upon him are: O Allah, forgive him, O Allah have mercy on him.
