"إِذَا رأيتُمَ هلال ذي الحجة، وأرادَ أحدُكم أنْ يُضحِّى فَليُمسكْ عن شَعْرِه وأظفاره".
Translation
that Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "If anyone of you has seen the crescent of Dhū al-Ḥijjah and one of you want to offer a sacrifice ˹on the Day of Naḥr˺, then he should hold back ˹cutting˺ his hair and nails." (Using translation from Muslim 1977e)
