أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ, نَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ, إِمْلَاءً أَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ, نَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مِنْهَالٍ, وَسُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ, وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ, نَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ, أَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ, أَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ, قَالُوا: نَا شُعْبَةُ, عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الْأَحْوَلِ, عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ, عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ,
أَنَّ إِحْدَى بَنَاتِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بَعَثَتْ إِلَيْهِ تُخْبِرْهُ أَنَّ ابْنَهَا فِي الْمَوْتِ فَأْتِنِي, فَقَالَ الرَّسُولُ: " قُلْ: لِلَّهِ مَا أَخَذَ, وَمَا أَعْطَى, وَكُلُّ شَيْءٍ عِنْدَهُ بِمِقْدَارٍ, فَلْتَسْتَعِنْ بِاللهِ وَلْتَصْبِرْ " قَالَ: فَأَرْسَلَتْ إِلَيْهِ: ائْتِنِي. قَالَ: فَقَامَ وَقُمْتُ مَعَهُ وَسَعْدُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ - وَأَحْسِبُهُ قَالَ: - وَأُبَيُّ بْنُ كَعْبٍ. قَالَ: فَأَتَى الصَّبِيَّ فَوُضِعَ فِي حِجْرِهِ فَاغْرَوْرَقَتْ عَيْنَاهُ, فَقَالَ سَعْدٌ: مَا هَذَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ: " هَذِهِ رَحْمَةٌ جَعَلَهَا اللهُ فِي قُلُوبِ عِبَادِهِ, وَإِنَّمَا يَرْحَمُ اللهُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ الرُّحَمَاءَ "
