أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ الْعُقَيْلِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ قَدِمْتُ الْمَدِينَةَ فَأَتَيْتُ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ فَقُلْتُ
أَسَمِعْتَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ شَيْئًا فِي الْإِزَارِ؟ فَقَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِزْرَةُ الْمُؤْمِنِ إِلَى نِصْفِ سَاقَيْهِ لَا جُنَاحَ فِيمَا بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْكَعْبَيْنِ وَمَا أَسْفَلَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ فِي النَّارِ مَنْ جَرَّ إِزَارَهُ بَطَرًا لَمْ يَنْظُرِ اللهُ إِلَيْهِ؟»

✧ Did you hear anything from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about the izar? He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: “The izar of the believer is to the middle of his shins. There is no blame for what is between that and the ankles, and whatever is below that is in the Fire. Whoever drags his izar out of pride, Allah will not look at him.”
