أَخْبَرَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِزْرَةُ الْمُؤْمِنِ إِلَى نِصْفِ السَّاقِ فَمَا كَانَ إِلَى الْكَعْبَيْنِ فَلَا بَأْسَ وَمَا تَحْتَ الْكَعْبَيْنِ فَفِي النَّارِ وَلَا يَنْظُرُ اللهُ إِلَى مَنْ جَرَّ ثَوْبَهُ خُيَلَاءَ»

✧ I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: “The izar of the believer is to the middle of the shin. What is up to the ankles is fine, and what is below the ankles is in the Fire. Allah will not look at one who drags his garment out of vanity.”
