Translation

"I heard the Messenger of Allah [SAW] say: 'The angels do not enter a house in which there is a dog or an image of an animate being.'"

Yūnus, Maʿmar, Ibn Abī Dhiʾb, Shuʿayb, al-Zubaydī, al-Mājishūn and Ibn ʿUyaynah narrated it from al-Zuhrī, from ʿUbaydullāh b. ʿAbdullāh b. ʿUtbah, from Ibn ʿAbbās, from Abū Ṭalḥah. Al-Awzāʿī differed from them, narrating it from al-Zuhrī, from ʿUbaydullāh, from Abū Ṭalḥah, without mentioning Ibn ʿAbbās. The correct view is the view of those who mentioned Ibn ʿAbbās in it.
