أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الْمُقْرِئُ وَالْحَارِثُ بْنُ مِسْكِينٍ قِرَاءَةً عَلَيْهِ وَأَنَا أَسْمَعُ وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ مَرَّ عَامِرٌ بِسَهْلِ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ وَهُوَ يَغْتَسِلُ فَقَالَ لَمْ أَرَ كَالْيَوْمِ وَلَا جِلْدَ مُخَبَّأَةٍ فَمَا لَبِثَ

أَنْ لَبِطَ بِهِ فَأَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقِيلَ أَدْرِكْ سَهْلًا فَقَالَ «مَنْ تَتَّهِمُونَ؟» قَالُوا عَامِرُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ قَالَ «عَلَّامَ يَقْتَلُ أَحَدُكُمْ أَخَاهُ؟ إِذَا رَأَى مَا يُعْجِبُهُ فَلْيَدْعُ بِالْبَرَكَةِ» وَأَمَرَ أَنْ يَتَوَضَّأَ فَيَغْسِلَ وَجْهَهُ وَيَدَيْهِ إِلَى الْمِرْفَقَيْنِ وَالرُّكْبَتَيْنِ وَدَاخِلَةَ إِزَارِهِ ثُمَّ أَمَرَ أَنْ يَصُبَّ زَادَ الْحَارِثُ فَرَاحَ مَعَ الرَّكْبِ [89] 9966 أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ بْنِ سَهْلٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ عَامِرًا مَرَّ بِهِ وَهُوَ يَغْتَسِلُ نَحْوَهُ 9967 أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ جَعْفَرٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ بْنِ سَهْلِ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ أَنَّهُ رَأَى سَهْلَ بْنَ حُنَيْفٍ وَهُوَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ بِالْجِعْرَانَةِ يَغْتَسِلُ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ جَعْفَرُ بْنُ بُرْقَانَ فِي الزُّهْرِيِّ ضَعِيفٌ وَفِي غَيْرِهِ لَا بَأْسَ بِهِ

✧ He was afflicted (by the evil eye) and fell ill. The Prophet ﷺ was brought to him, and it was said: “Attend to Sahl.” He said: “Whom do you suspect?” They said: “ʿĀmir b. Rabīʿa.” He said: “Why would one of you kill his brother? When he sees something that pleases him, let him pray for blessing.” He ordered that he perform ablution, washing his face, his hands up to the elbows, his knees, and the inside of his lower garment. Then he ordered that water be poured over him. Al-Ḥārith added: “He recovered and went with the caravan.”
