✧ The Disagreement Regarding Abu Ishaq

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الطَّنَافِسِيُّ كُوفِيٌّ وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحَرَّانِيُّ عَنْ فِطْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ بْنِ الْيَمَانِ قَالَ

أَخَذَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِعَضَلَةِ سَاقِي فَقَالَ «الْإِزَارُ هَا هُنَا فَإِنْ أَبَيْتَ فَإِلَى أَسْفَلَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ فَإِنْ أَبَيْتَ فَلَا حَقَّ لِلْكَعْبَيْنِ فِي الْإِزَارِ»

Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. Aḥmad b. Sulaymān

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ took hold of the muscle of my calf and said: "The lower garment is here. If you refuse, then lower than that. If you refuse, then the ankles have no right to the lower garment."
