أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى الْقَطَّانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ

عَنِ الْمِسْوَرِ بْنِ مَخْرَمَةَ وَمَرْوَانِ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ قَالَا خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ زَمَنَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ فِي بِضْعِ عَشْرَةَ مِائَةٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ حَتَّى إِذَا كَانُوا بِذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ قَلَّدَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ الْهَدْيَ وَأَشْعَرَ وَأَحْرَمَ بِالْعُمْرَةِ وَبَعَثَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ عَيْنَا لَهُ مِنْ خُزَاعَةَ يُخْبِرُهُ عَنْ قُرَيْشٍ وَسَارَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ حَتَّى إِذَا كَانَ بِغَدِيرِ الْأَشْطَاطِ قَرِيبًا مِنْ عُسْفَانَ أَتَاهُ عَيْنُهُ الْخُزَاعِيُّ فَقَالَ إِنِّي تَرَكْتُ كَعْبَ بْنَ لُؤَيٍّ وَعَامِرَ بْنَ لُؤَيٍّ قَدْ جَمَعُوا لَكَ الْأَحَابِيشَ وَجَمَعُوا لَكَ جُمُوعًا وَهُمْ مُقَاتِلُوكَ وَصَادُّوكَ عَنِ الْبَيْتِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «أَشِيرُوا عَلَيَّ أَتَرَوْنَ بِأَنْ أَمِيلَ إِلَى ذَرَارِيِّ هَؤُلَاءِ الَّذِينَ أَعَانُوهُمْ فَنُصِيبَهُمْ؟ فَإِنْ قَعَدُوا قَعَدُوا مَوْتُورِينَ وَإِنْ نَجَوْا يَكُونُوا عُنُقًا قَطَعَهَا اللهُ أَمْ تَرَوْنَ أَنْ أَؤُمَّ الْبَيْتَ فَمَنْ صَدَّنَا عَنْهُ قَاتَلْنَاهُ؟» فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ اللهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ إِنَّمَا جِئْنَا مُعْتَمِرِينَ وَلَمْ نَأْتِ لِقِتَالِ أَحَدٍ وَلَكِنْ مَنْ حَالَ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَ الْبَيْتِ قَاتَلْنَاهُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «فَتَرَوَّحُوا إِذًا» مُخْتَصَرٌ

✧ Al-Miswar b. Makhramah and Marwan b. al-Hakam said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ set out at the time of Hudaybiyyah with some ten hundred and more of his companions until they were at Dhu al-Hulayfah. The Prophet ﷺ garlanded the sacrificial animal, marked it, and entered ihram for 'Umrah. He sent ahead of him a scout from Khuza'ah to inform him about Quraysh. The Prophet ﷺ traveled until when he was at Ghadir al-Ashtat, near 'Usfan, his Khuza'i scout came to him and said: "I left Ka'b b. Lu'ayy and 'Amir b. Lu'ayy. They have gathered the Ahabish against you and gathered forces, and they will fight you and prevent you from the House." The Prophet ﷺ said: "Advise me. Do you think I should raid the families of these who aided them and strike them? If they remain, they remain having lost; and if they escape, it will be a neck that Allah has cut. Or do you think I should head for the House, and whoever prevents us from it, we fight?" Abu Bakr said: "Allah and His Messenger know best. O Prophet of Allah, we have only come for 'Umrah, and we did not come to fight anyone. But whoever comes between us and the House, we will fight." The Prophet ﷺ said: "Then proceed." Abridged.
