أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ الْفَضْلُ بْنُ دُكَيْنٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا عَنْ فِرَاسٍ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ «§أَقْبَلَتْ فَاطِمَةُ

كَأَنَّ مِشْيَتَهَا مِشْيَةُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ» فَقَالَ «مَرْحَبًا بِابْنَتِي ثُمَّ أَجْلَسَهَا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ أَوْ عَنْ شِمَالِهِ ثُمَّ أَسَرَّ إِلَيْهَا حَدِيثًا فَبَكَتْ» فَقُلْتُ لَهَا «اسْتَخَصَّكِ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِحَدِيثِهِ وَتَبْكِينَ؟ ثُمَّ إِنَّهُ أَسَرَّ إِلَيْهَا حَدِيثًا فَضَحِكَتْ» فَقُلْتُ لَهَا مَا رَأَيْتُ كَالْيَوْمِ فَرَحًا أَقْرَبَ مِنْ حُزْنٍ وَسَأَلْتُهَا عَمَّا قَالَ فَقَالَتْ «مَا كُنْتُ لِأُفْشِيَ سِرَّ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ حَتَّى إِذَا قُبِضَ سَأَلْتُهَا» فَقَالَتْ إِنَّهُ أَسَرَّ إِلَيَّ فَقَالَ «إِنَّ جِبْرِيلَ كَانَ يُعَارِضُنِي بِالْقُرْآنِ كُلَّ سَنَةٍ مَرَّةً وَإِنَّهُ عَارَضَنِي بِهِ الْعَامَ مَرَّتَيْنِ وَلَا أُرَانِي إِلَّا قَدْ حَضَرَ أَجْلِي وَإِنَّكِ أَوَّلُ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي لَحَاقًا بِي وَنِعْمَ السَّلَفُ أَنَا لَكِ» قَالَتْ فَبَكَيْتُ لِذَلِكَ ثُمَّ قَالَ «أَمَا تَرْضَيْنَ أَنْ تَكُونِي سَيِّدَةَ نِسَاءِ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ أَوْ نِسَاءِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ؟» قَالَتْ «فَضَحِكْتُ»

✧ "Her gait was like the gait of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ." He said: "Welcome to my daughter." Then he seated her on his right or on his left, then he spoke to her privately, and she wept. I said to her: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ singled you out for his private words, and you weep?" Then he spoke to her privately again, and she laughed. I said to her: "I have never seen a joy closer to sorrow than today." And I asked her about what he said, and she said: "I would not disclose the secret of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ." Until when he passed away, I asked her, and she said: "He spoke to me privately and said: 'Jibril used to review the Qur'an with me once every year, and this year he reviewed it with me twice. I think my term has come, and you will be the first of my household to join me, and what an excellent predecessor I am for you.'" She said: "So I wept for that." Then he said: "Are you not pleased to be the Lady of the Women of this Ummah—or the women of the believers?" She said: "So I laughed."
