أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الزُّبَيْرِيُّ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ وَاسْمُهُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَرْوَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو حَازِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

أَبْطَأَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنَّا يَوْمًا صَدْرَ النَّهَارِ فَلَمَّا كَانَ الْعَشِيُّ قَالَ لَهُ قَائِلُنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَدْ شَقَّ عَلَيْنَا لَمْ نَرَكَ الْيَوْمَ قَالَ «إِنَّ مَلَكًا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ لَمْ يَكُنْ رَآنِي فَاسْتَأْذَنَ اللهَ فِي زِيَارَتِي فَأَخْبَرَنِي أَوْ بَشَّرَنِي أَنَّ فَاطِمَةَ ابْنَتِي سَيِّدَةُ نِسَاءِ أُمَّتِي وَأَنَّ حَسَنًا وَحُسَيْنًا سَيِّدَا شَبَابِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was delayed from us one day at the beginning of the day, and when it was evening, one of us said to him: "O Messenger of Allah, it has been hard on us not seeing you today." He said: "An angel from heaven who had not seen me asked Allah's permission to visit me, and he informed me—or gave me glad tidings—that Fatimah, my daughter, is the Lady of the Women of my Ummah, and that Hasan and Husayn are the masters of the youth of the people of Paradise."
