al-Sunan al-Kubra (al-Nasa'i) 8457

✧ what is specific to Ali, apart from the former and latter from Fatimah, the daughter of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and a part of him, and the lady of the women of Paradise, except Maryam, the daughter of Imran.

أَخْبَرَنَا سَلْمَانُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ وَهُوَ ابْنُ الْفَضْلِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نَضْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «تَمْرُقُ مَارِقَةٌ عِنْدَ فِرْقَةٍ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ يَقْتُلُهَا أَوْلَى الطَّائِفَتَيْنِ بِالْحَقِّ»

In the event of the dissension among Muslims an emerging sect will emerge ; one of the two parties that is nearer to the truth will kill it. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4667)
