✧ The Virtues of Fatimah bt. Rasulullah ﷺ

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ دَعَا فَاطِمَةَ ابْنَتَهُ فِي وَجَعِهِ الَّذِي تُوُفِّيَ فِيهِ فَسَارَّهَا بِشَيْءٍ فَبَكَتْ ثُمَّ دَعَاهَا فَسَارَّهَا فَضَحِكَتْ قَالَتْ فَسَأَلْتُهَا عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَتْ «أَخْبَرَنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ يُقْبَضُ فِي وَجَعِهِ هَذَا فَبَكَيْتُ ثُمَّ أَخْبَرَنِي أَنِّي أَوَّلُ أَهْلِهِ لَحَاقًا بِهِ فَضَحِكَتْ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ called his daughter Fatimah during the illness in which he died and whispered something to her, and she wept. Then he called her and whispered to her, and she laughed. She said, “I asked her about that, and she said, ‘The Messenger of Allah ﷺ told me that he would be taken in this illness, so I wept. Then he told me that I would be the first of his family to join him, so I laughed.’”
