أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

دَخَلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَلَى أُمِّ سُلَيْمٍ فَأَتَتْهُ بِتَمْرٍ وَسَمْنٍ فَقَالَ «أَعِيدُوا سَمْنَكُمْ فِي سِقَائِهِ وَتَمْرَكُمْ فِي وِعَائِهِ فَإِنِّي صَائِمٌ ثُمَّ قَامَ إِلَى نَاحِيَةٍ مِنَ الْبَيْتِ فَصَلَّى صَلَاةً غَيْرَ مَكْتُوبَةٍ وَدَعَا لِأُمِّ سُلَيْمٍ وَلِأَهْلِ بَيْتِهَا» فَقَالَتْ أُمُّ سُلَيْمٍ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ لِي خُوَيْصَّةً فَقَالَ «مَا هِيَهْ؟» قُلْتُ خَادِمُكَ أَنَسٌ فَمَا تَرَكَ خَيْرًا مِنْ خَيْرِ آخِرَةٍ وَلَا دُنْيَا إِلَّا دَعَا لِي ثُمَّ قَالَ «اللهُمَّ ارْزُقْهُ مَالًا وَوَلَدًا وَبَارِكْ لَهُ» قَالَ فَإِنِّي لِمَنْ أَكْثَرِ الْأَنْصَارِ مَالًا قَالَ «وَحَدَّثَتْنِي ابْنَتِي أَنَّهُ قَدْ دُفِنَ لِصُلْبِي إِلَى مَقْدَمِ الْحَجَّاجِ إِلَى الْبَصْرَةِ بِضْعٌ وَعِشْرُونَ وَمِائَةٌ»

✧ The Prophet ﷺ entered upon Umm Sulaym, and she brought him dates and clarified butter. He said: 'Return your clarified butter to its container and your dates to their vessel, for I am fasting.' Then he stood in a corner of the house and prayed a non-obligatory prayer, supplicating for Umm Sulaym and her household. Umm Sulaym said: 'O Messenger of Allah, I have a special request.' He said: 'What is it?' She said: 'Your servant Anas.' He did not leave any good of the Hereafter or of this world without supplicating for me. Then he said: 'O Allah, grant him wealth and children, and bless him in them.' He said: 'I am among the wealthiest of the Ansar in property.' He said: 'My daughter told me that one hundred and twenty-something of my direct descendants had been buried by the time al-Hajjaj came to Basra.'
