✧ The limitation of a man's stay to his wife when she commits adultery.

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ السَّرْحِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ أَنَّ شِبْلَ بْنَ خُلَيْدٍ الْمُزَنِيَّ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ مَالِكٍ الْأَوْسِيَّ
أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «الْوَلِيدَةُ إِنْ زَنَتْ فَاجْلِدُوهَا ثُمَّ إِنْ زَنَتْ فَاجْلِدُوهَا ثُمَّ إِنْ زَنَتْ فَاجْلِدُوهَا ثُمَّ إِنْ زَنَتْ فَاجْلِدُوهَا ثُمَّ بِيعُوهَا وَلَوْ بِضَفِيرٍ» وَالضَّفِيرُ الْحَبْلُ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ أَوِ الرَّابِعَةِ وَأَخْبَرَهُ زَيْدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ

✧ He informed him that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The slave-girl, if she commits adultery, flog her. Then if she commits adultery, flog her. Then if she commits adultery, flog her. Then if she commits adultery, flog her. Then sell her, even for a hair rope; and al-dafir is the rope, on the third or fourth occasion." And Zayd b. Khalid informed him similarly from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
