al-Sunan al-Kubra (al-Nasa'i) 7222

✧ The limitation of a man's stay to his wife when she commits adultery.

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَخِي الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عَمِّهِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ أَنَّ شِبْلَ بْنَ خُلَيْدٍ الْمُزَنِيَّ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ مَالِكٍ الْأَوْسِيَّ

أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «الْوَلِيدَةُ إِنْ زَنَتْ فَاجْلِدُوهَا ثُمَّ إِنْ زَنَتْ فَاجْلِدُوهَا ثُمَّ إِنْ زَنَتْ فَبِيعُوهَا وَلَوْ بِضَفِيرٍ» وَالضَّفِيرُ الْحَبْلُ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ أَوِ الرَّابِعَةِ

✧ He informed him that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The slave-girl, if she commits adultery, flog her. Then if she commits adultery, flog her. Then if she commits adultery, sell her, even for a hair rope; and al-dafir is the rope, on the third or fourth occasion."
