أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ

أَنَّ رَجُلًا عَضَّ آخَرَ فِي ذِرَاعِهِ فَاجْتَذَبَهَا فَانْتَزَعَتْ ثَنِيَّتَهُ فَرُفِعَ ذَلِكَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَأَبْطَلَهَا فَقَالَ «أَرَدْتَ أَنْ تَقْضَمَ لَحْمَ أَخِيكَ كَمَا يَقْضَمُ الْفَحْلُ»

Translation

  3. Saʿīd b. Abū ʿArūbah
  4. Qatādah
  5. Zurārah b. Awfá
  6. ʿImrān b. Ḥuṣayn

✧ A man bit another on his forearm, and he pulled it away, so his front tooth was extracted. That was referred to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he declared it void, saying: "You wanted to gnaw the flesh of your brother as a stallion gnaws."
