أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ أَبِي النَّضْرِ عَنْ بُسْرِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ قَالَ

سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ اللُّقَطَةِ قَالَ «عَرِّفْهَا سَنَةً فَإِنْ لَمْ تَعْرِفْ فَاعْرِفْ عِفَاصَهَا وَوِكَاءَهَا ثُمَّ كُلْهَا فَإِنْ جَاءَ صَاحِبُهَا فَأَدِّهَا إِلَيْهِ» [346] 5780 عَنْ هَارُونَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي فُدَيْكٍ وَأَبِي بَكْرٍ الْحَنَفِيِّ كِلَاهُمَا عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ بِهِ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about a lost item. He said: 'Announce it for a year. If you do not recognize it, then know its container and its string, then consume it. If its owner comes, then give it to him.' [346] 5780 from Harun b. Abdullah from Ibn Abi Fudayk and Abu Bakr al-Hanafi, both from al-Dahhak b. Uthman with it.
