أَخْبَرَنَا هَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ عَنْ حَاتِمِ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنْ أَفْلَحَ بْنِ حُمَيْدٍ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ
خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مُهِلِّينَ بِالْحَجِّ فِي أَشْهُرِ الْحَجِّ وَأَيَّامِ الْحَجِّ حَتَّى قَدِمْنَا سَرِفَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لِأَصْحَابِهِ «مَنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ مِنْكُمْ سَاقَ هَدْيًا فَأَحَبَّ أَنْ يَحِلَّ حَجَّهُ بِعُمْرَةٍ فَلْيَفْعَلْ» قَالَتْ فَالْآخِذُ بِذَلِكَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَالتَّارِكُ فَأَمَّا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَذُو الْقُوَّةِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ فَكَانَ مَعَهُمْ هَدْيٌ فَلَمْ يَحِلُّوا قَالَتْ دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَأَنَا أَبْكِي وَقَدْ أَهْلَلْتُ بِالْحَجِّ فَقَالَ «مَا يُبْكِيكِ؟» فَقُلْتُ حُرِمْتُ الْعُمْرَةَ لَسْتُ أُصَلِّي قَالَ «إِنَّمَا أَنْتِ امْرَأَةٌ مِنْ بَنَاتِ آدَمَ كَتَبَ اللهُ عَلَيْكِ مَا كَتَبَ عَلَيْهِنَّ فَكُونِي عَلَى حَجِّكِ وَعَسَى اللهُ أَنْ يَرْزُقَكِيهَا» قَالَتْ فَخَرَجْنَا حَتَّى قَضَى اللهُ حَجَّنَا وَأَفَضْتُ ثُمَّ نَفَرْنَا مِنْ مِنًى فَنَزَلْنَا لَيْلَةَ الْحَصْبَةِ فَدَعَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ فَقَالَ «اخْرُجْ بِأُخْتِكَ مِنَ الْحَرَمِ فَلْتُهِلَّ بِعُمْرَةٍ ثُمَّ افْرُغَا فَإِنِّي أَنْتَظِرُكُمَا هَاهُنَا» فَجِئْنَاهُ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَقَالَ «أَفَرَغْتِ؟» قُلْتُ نَعَمْ فَأَذِنَ بِالرَّحِيلِ فَمَرَرْنَا بِالْبَيْتِ فَطَافَ بِهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ قَبْلَ الصُّبْحِ

✧ We went out with the Messenger of God ﷺ proclaiming ḥajj in the months of ḥajj and the days of ḥajj until we reached Sarif. The Messenger of God ﷺ said to his companions: “Whoever of you has not brought a sacrificial animal and wishes to release his ḥajj into an ʿumrah, let him do so.” She said: So some of the companions of the Messenger of God ﷺ accepted that and some left it. As for the Messenger of God ﷺ and the strong ones among his companions, they had sacrificial animals with them, so they did not release their iḥrām. She said: The Messenger of God ﷺ entered upon me while I was crying, having entered iḥrām for ḥajj. He said: “What makes you cry?” I said: I have been deprived of ʿumrah; I am not praying. He said: “You are only a woman among the daughters of Adam. God has ordained for you what He has ordained for them. Remain in your ḥajj, and perhaps God will grant it to you.” She said: We went out until God completed our ḥajj, and I performed the ifāḍah. Then we departed from Minā and stopped on the night of al-Ḥaṣbah. The Messenger of God ﷺ called ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. Abī Bakr and said: “Take your sister out of the ḥaram and let her enter iḥrām for ʿumrah, then finish, for I am waiting for you here.” We came to him at night. He said: “Have you finished?” I said: Yes. So he gave permission to depart. We passed by the House, and the Messenger of God ﷺ performed tawaf around it, then left before dawn.
