أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ عَنِ امْرَأَةٍ مِنْ بَنِي أَسَدٍ يُقَالُ لَهَا أُمُّ مَعْقِلٍ قَالَتْ
أَرَدْتُ الْحَجَّ فَضَلَّ بَعِيرِي فَسَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «اعْتَمِرِي فِي شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ فَإِنَّ عُمْرَةً فِي شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ تَعْدِلُ حَجَّةً»

✧ I intended to perform Hajj, but my camel went astray, so I asked the Messenger of God ﷺ. He said: “Perform ʿumrah in the month of Ramadan, for an ʿumrah in the month of Ramadan equals a Hajj.”
