أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ مَعْقِلِ ابْنِ أُمِّ مَعْقِلٍ قَالَ أَرَادَتْ أُمِّي
أَنْ تَحُجَّ وَكَانَ بَعِيرُهَا أَعْجَفَ فَسَأَلَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «اعْتَمِرِي فِي رَمَضَانَ فَإِنَّ عُمْرَةً فِيهِ تَعْدِلُ حَجَّةً»

✧ She wanted to perform Hajj, but her camel was thin, so she asked the Messenger of God ﷺ. He said: “Perform ʿumrah in Ramadan, for an ʿumrah in it equals a Hajj.”
