أَخْبَرَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُسَافِرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَسَّانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ طَاوُسٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ
«رَخَّصَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لِلْمَرْأَةِ الْحَائِضِ أَنْ تَنْفِرَ إِذَا أَفَاضَتْ» قَالَ طَاوُسٌ وَسَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ تَنْفِرُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ رَخَّصَ لَهُنَّ [228] 4187 أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ طَاوُسٍ قَالَ كُنْتُ عِنْدَ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فَقَالَ لَهُ زَيْدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ أَنْتَ الَّذِي تُفْتِي الْمَرْأَةَ الْحَائِضَ أَنْ تَنْفِرَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَكُونَ آخِرُ عَهْدِهَا بِالْبَيْتِ؟ فَقَالَ لَهُ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ سَلْ فُلَانَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيَّةَ هَلْ أَمَرَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ تَنْفِرَ؟ فَسَأَلَهَا ثُمَّ رَجَعَ وَهُوَ يَضْحَكُ فَقَالَ الْحَدِيثُ كَمَا حَدَّثَتْنِي

✧ “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ granted a concession to the menstruating woman to depart if she has performed the ifāḍah.” Ṭāwūs said: “And I heard Ibn ʿUmar say: ‘She may depart; the Messenger of Allah ﷺ granted them a concession.’” [228] 4187 ʿAmr b. ʿAlī reported to us; he said: Yaḥyā narrated to us; he said: Ibn Jurayj narrated to us; he said: al-Ḥasan b. Muslim narrated to me from Ṭāwūs; he said: I was with Ibn ʿAbbās, when Zayd b. Thābit said to him: “Are you the one who gives the fatwā that a menstruating woman may depart before her last act is at the House?” Ibn ʿAbbās said to him: “Ask so-and-so the Anṣārī woman whether the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded her to depart.” He asked her, then returned laughing and said: “The ḥadīth is as she narrated to me.”
