أَخْبَرَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَاحِدِ عَنِ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي الزُّهْرِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ حِينَ أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنْفِرَ مِنْ مِنًى «نَحْنُ نَازِلُونَ غَدًا إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ بِخَيْفِ بَنِي كِنَانَةَ» يَعْنِي الْمُحَصَّبَ وَذَلِكَ أَنَّ قُرَيْشًا وَبَنِي كِنَانَةَ تَقَاسَمُوا عَلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ وَبَنِي عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ أَنْ لَا يُنَاكِحُوهُمْ وَلَا يَكُونَ بَيْنَهُمْ وَبَيْنَهُمْ شَيْءٌ حَتَّى يُسْلِمُوا إِلَيْهِمْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said when he intended to depart from Mina: “We shall alight tomorrow, if Allah wills, at the khayf of Banu Kinanah” – meaning al-Muhassab – and that is because Quraysh and Banu Kinanah had sworn against Banu Hashim and Banu ʿAbd al-Muttalib that they would not intermarry with them and that there would be nothing between them until they handed over the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to them.
