أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ شُعَيْبِ بْنِ اللَّيْثِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ جَدِّي قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي جَعْفَرُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ هُرْمُزَ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ ؓ قَالَتْ
حَجَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَأَفَضْنَا يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ وَحَاضَتْ صَفِيَّةُ فَأَرَادَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْهَا مَا يُرِيدُ الرَّجُلُ مِنْ أَهْلِهِ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّهَا حَائِضٌ فَقَالَ «أَحَابِسَتُنَا هِيَ؟» قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَدْ أَفَاضَتْ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ قَالَ «اخْرُجُوا»

✧ "We performed Hajj with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and we performed the ifadah on the day of sacrifice. Safiyyah menstruated, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wanted from her what a man wants from his wife. She said: 'O Messenger of Allah, she is menstruating.' He said: 'Is she holding us back?' They said: 'O Messenger of Allah, she performed the ifadah on the day of sacrifice.' He said: 'Depart.'"
