✧ The seclusion of the menstruating woman

أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ وأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْأَشْعَثِ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ بَزِيعٍ وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

«اعْتَكَفَتْ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ امْرَأَةٌ مِنْ أَزْوَاجِهِ مُسْتَحَاضَةٌ فَكَانَتْ تَرَى الْحُمْرَةَ وَالصُّفْرَةَ فَرُبَّمَا وَضَعَتِ الطَّسْتَ تَحْتَهَا وَهِيَ تُصَلِّي»

✧ A woman among his wives observed i'tikaf with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while she was suffering from istihadah. She would see reddish and yellowish discharge, and sometimes she would place a basin beneath her while she prayed.
