أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْمُعَافَى بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَطَّابُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ خُصَيْفٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ دَخَلَ عَلَى حَفْصَةَ وَعَائِشَةَ وَهُمَا صَائِمَتَانِ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ فَرَجَعَ وَهُمَا تَأْكُلَانِ فَقَالَ «أَلَمْ تَكُونَا صَائِمَتَيْنِ؟» قَالَتَا بَلَى وَلَكِنْ أُهْدِيَ لَنَا هَذَا الطَّعَام فَأَعْجَبَنَا فَأَكَلْنَا مِنْهُ قَالَ «صُومَا يَوْمًا مَكَانَهُ» قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ مُنْكَرٌ وَخُصَيْفٌ ضَعِيفٌ فِي الْحَدِيثِ وَخَطَّابٌ لا عِلْمَ لِي بِهِ وَالصَّوَابُ حَدِيثُ مَعْمَرٍ وَمَالِكٍ وَعُبَيْدِ اللهِ

✧ That the Prophet ﷺ entered upon Hafsah and 'A'ishah while they were fasting, then he left and returned while they were eating. He said, 'Were you not fasting?' They said, 'Yes, but this food was given to us, and it pleased us, so we ate from it.' He said, 'Fast a day in its place.' Abu 'Abd al-Rahman said: 'This hadith is munkar. Khusayf is weak in hadith, and Khattab—I have no knowledge of him. The correct version is the hadith of Ma'mar, Malik, and 'Ubayd Allah.'
