أَخْبَرَنِي الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ دَاوُدَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَسْوَدِ وَإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ بَكْرِ بْنِ مُضَرَ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ مُضَرَ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ عَنْ عِرَاكِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ
أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَأَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ وَقَعَ بِامْرَأَتِهِ فِي رَمَضَانَ قَالَ «هَلْ تَجِدُ رَقَبَةً؟» قَالَ لَا قَالَ «هَلْ تَسْتَطِيعُ صِيَامَ شَهْرَيْنِ مُتَتَابِعَيْنِ؟» قَالَ لَا قَالَ «فَأَطْعِمْ سِتِّينَ مِسْكِينًا» قَالَ لَا أَجِدُ فَأَعْطَاهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ تَمْرًا «فَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يَتَصَدَّقَ بِهِ فَذَكَرَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ حَاجَتَهُ فَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يَأْخُذَهُ هُوَ»

✧ That a man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and informed him that he had had intercourse with his wife in Ramadan. He said, 'Can you find a slave?' He said, 'No.' He said, 'Can you fast two consecutive months?' He said, 'No.' He said, 'Then feed sixty poor people.' He said, 'I cannot find.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave him dates and commanded him to give them in charity. He mentioned his need to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, so he commanded him to take it himself.
