أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبِيدَةُ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ قَالَ خَرَجَ نَاسٌ حُجَّاجًا أَوْ عُمَّارًا فَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ
سَمِعْتُ أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَائِشَةَ تَقُولُ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُبَاشِرُ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ فَقَالَ شُرَيْحٌ رَجُلٌ مِنَ النَّخَعِ إِنِّي أَهِمُّ أَنْ أَضْرِبَكَ بِهَذَا الْقَوْسِ فَقَالَ يَا مَعْشَرَ النَّخَعِ مُرُوا صَاحِبَكُمْ فَيَحْبَسَ قَوْسَهُ حَتَّى نَقْدَمَ عَلَى أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ كَلِمَةً مَعْنَاهَا فَقَدِمْنَا عَلَى أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَائِشَةَ فَقَالَ بَعْضُنَا إِنَّ هَذَا أَخْبَرَنَا عَنْكِ أَنَّكِ قُلْتِ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُبَاشِرُ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ قَالَتْ أَجَلْ وَلَكِنَّ كَانَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَمْلَكُكُمْ لِإِرْبِهِ

✧ I heard the Mother of the Believers, 'A'ishah, say: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to have intimate contact while fasting." Shurayh, a man from al-Nakha', said: "I intend to strike you with this bow." He said: "O people of al-Nakha', command your companion to hold back his bow until we come to the Mother of the Believers." Then he mentioned a phrase meaning: "We came to the Mother of the Believers, 'A'ishah, and some of us said, 'This one informed us from you that you said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to have intimate contact while fasting.' She said, 'Yes, but the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was more capable than you in controlling his desire.'"
