أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ قَالَ
خَرَجَ نَفَرٌ مِنَ النَّخَعِ فِيهِمْ رَجُلٌ يُدْعَى شُرَيْحًا فَحَدَّثَ أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُبَاشِرُ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ لَقَدْ هَمَمْتُ أَنْ أَضْرِبَ رَأْسَكَ بِالْقَوْسِ قَالَ يَا مَعْشَرَ النَّخَعِ قُولُوا لِصَاحِبِكُمْ فَلْيَكُفَّ قَوْسَهُ عَنِّي حَتَّى نَأْتِيَ أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ فَلَمَّا أَتَيْنَاهَا قَالُوا لِعَلْقَمَةَ سَلْهَا فَقَالَ لَا أَرْفُثُ عِنْدَهَا الْيَوْمَ فَسَمِعَتْهُ فَقَالَتْ وَمَا ذَاكَ؟ قُلْتُ أَذْكَرْتِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُبَاشِرُكِ؟ قَالَتْ نَعَمْ وَلَكِنَّهُ كَانَ أَمْلَكَكُمْ لِإِرْبِهِ

✧ A group from al-Nakha' went out, among them a man called Shurayh, and he narrated that 'A'ishah said: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to have intimate contact while fasting." A man said: "I was about to strike your head with the bow." He said: "O people of al-Nakha', tell your companion to keep his bow away from me until we go to the Mother of the Believers." When we came to her, they said to 'Alqamah, "Ask her." He said: "I will not speak coarsely in front of her today." She heard him and said, "What is that?" I said, "Do you mention that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to have intimate contact with you?" She said, "Yes, but he was the most capable of you in controlling his desire."
