أَخْبَرَنِي زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عِيسَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ رَبِّهِ عَنْ أَبِي عِيَاضٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ أَنَّ مَرْوَانَ بْنَ الْحَكَمِ بَعَثَهُ إِلَى أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ قَالَ فَلَقِيتُ غُلَامَهَا فَأَرْسَلْتُهُ إِلَيْهَا فَسَأَلَهَا ثُمَّ رَجَعَ إِلَيْهِ فَأَنْبَأَهُ أَنَّهَا حَدَّثَتْهُ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُصْبِحُ جُنُبًا ثُمَّ يُصْبِحُ صَائِمًا ثُمَّ أَتَى عَائِشَةَ قَالَ فَلَقِيتُ غُلَامَهَا ذَكْوَانَ فَأَرْسَلْتُهُ إِلَيْهَا فَسَأَلَهَا ثُمَّ رَجَعَ إِلَيْهِ فَأَنْبَأَهُ أَنَّهَا حَدَّثَتْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ «كَانَ يُصْبِحُ جُنُبًا مِنْ جِمَاعٍ غَيْرِ احْتِلَامٍ ثُمَّ يُصْبِحُ صَائِمًا» ثُمَّ أَتَى مَرْوَانَ فَحَدَّثَهُ فَقَالَ أَقْسَمْتُ عَلَيْكَ لَتَأْتِيَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ فَلَتُخْبِرَنَّهُ عَنْهُمَا فَأَتَاهُ فَأَخْبَرَهُ قَالَ هُنَّ أَعْلَمُ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to wake up in a state of major ritual impurity and then begin the day fasting. Then he went to Aisha. He said: I met her servant Dhakwan, so I sent him to her and he asked her. Then he returned to him and informed him that she narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to wake up in a state of major ritual impurity from intercourse, not from a wet dream, and then begin the day fasting. Then he went to Marwan and told him. He said: I adjure you, you will surely go to Abu Huraira and inform him about both of them. So he went to him and informed him. He said: They know better.
