أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ المَوْصليُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ حَفْصَةَ قَالَتْ «§لَا صِيَامَ لِمَنْ لَمْ يُجْمِعِ الصِّيامَ قَبْلَ الْفَجْرِ» قَالَ

أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ وَالصَّوَابُ عِنْدَنَا مَوْقُوفٌ وَلَمْ يَصِحَّ رَفْعُهُ وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ؛ لَأَنْ يَحْيَى بْنَ أَيُّوبَ لَيْسَ بِذَلِكَ الْقَوِيِّ وَحَدِيثُ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ غَيْرُ مَحْفُوظٍ وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ أَرْسَلَهُ مَالِكٌ

✧ Abu Abd al-Rahman said: The correct view according to us is that it is mawquf, and its marfu' version is not authentic, and Allah knows best; because Yahya b. Ayyub is not that strong, and the hadith of Ibn Jurayj from al-Zuhri is not preserved, and Allah knows best. Malik sent it mursal.
