✧ The sun eclipsed, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded a man, so he called out that the prayer is to be gathered. The people gathered, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ led them in prayer. He said the takbir, then recited a long recitation, then said the takbir and bowed a long bowing like his standing or longer. Then he raised his head and said: 'Allah hears the one who praises Him.' Then he recited a long recitation that was shorter than the first recitation, then said the takbir and bowed a long bowing that was shorter than the first bowing. Then he raised his head and said: 'Allah hears the one who praises Him.' Then he said the takbir and prostrated a long prostration like his bowing or longer. Then he said the takbir and raised his head, then said the takbir and prostrated, then said the takbir and stood up. He recited a long recitation that was shorter than the first, then said the takbir and bowed a bowing shorter than the first bowing. Then he raised his head and said: 'Allah hears the one who praises Him.' Then he recited a recitation shorter than the first recitation in the second standing, then said the takbir and bowed a bowing less than the first bowing. Then he said the takbir and raised his head and said: 'Allah hears the one who praises Him.' Then he said the takbir and prostrated a prostration shorter than his first prostration, then he said the tashahhud, then he said the salam. Then he stood among them, praised Allah and extolled Him, then said: 'The sun and the moon do not eclipse for the death of anyone nor for his life, but they are two signs among the signs of Allah. So whichever of them is eclipsed, then hasten to Allah with the remembrance of prayer.'
