أَخْبَرَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ سَلَّامٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ
خَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ «فَأَمَرَ فَنُودِيَ الصَّلَاةَ جَامِعَةً فَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِالنَّاسِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَسَجْدَةً ثُمَّ قَامَ فَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَسَجْدَةً» قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ مَا رَكَعْتُ رُكُوعًا قَطُّ وَلَا سَجَدْتُ سُجُودًا قَطُّ كَانَ أَطْوَلَ مِنْهُ خَالَفَهُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حِمْيَرَ

✧ The sun eclipsed during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he ordered that it be announced, 'Prayer in congregation.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed two rak'ahs with one prostration with the people. Then he stood and prayed two rak'ahs with one prostration. A'ishah said, 'I never bowed a bowing or prostrated a prostration that was longer than that.' Muhammad b. Himyar differed from this.
