أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عُثْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ حِمْيَرَ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ سَلَّامٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي طُعْمَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ
«كَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ فَرَكَعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَسَجْدَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ قَامَ فَرَكَعَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَسَجْدَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ جُلِّيَ عَنِ الشَّمْسِ» وَكَانَتْ عَائِشَةُ تَقُولُ مَا سَجَدَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ سُجُودًا وَلَا رَكَعَ رُكُوعًا أَطْوَلَ مِنْهُ خَالَفَهُ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ

✧ The sun eclipsed, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ bowed two rak'ahs with two prostrations. Then he stood and bowed two rak'ahs with two prostrations. Then the sun cleared. A'ishah used to say, 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ never prostrated a prostration or bowed a bowing longer than that.' Ali b. al-Mubarak differed from this.
