✧ The sun eclipsed during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on a very hot day. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed with his companions. He lengthened the standing until they began to collapse. Then he bowed and lengthened it. Then he raised his head and lengthened it. Then he bowed and lengthened it. Then he raised his head and lengthened it. Then he prostrated twice. Then he stood and did something similar, moving forward and then moving backward. There were four bowings and four prostrations. He said, 'They used to say that the sun and the moon do not eclipse except for the death of a great one among their great ones. But they are two signs among the signs of Allah that He shows you. So when they eclipse, pray until it clears.'
