✧ The cessation of menstruation, prayer of the people.

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ عَنْ أُمِّ عَطِيَّةَ وَهِشَامٍ عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ وَحَفْصَةَ عَنْ أُمِّ عَطِيَّةَ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُخْرِجُ الْأَبْكَارَ وَالْعَوَاتِقَ ذَوَاتَ الْخُدُورِ وَالْحُيَّضَ فِي الْعِيدَيْنِ فَأَمَّا الْحُيَّضُ فَيَعْتَزِلْنَ الْمُصَلَّى وَيَشْهَدْنَ الْخَيْرَ وَدَعْوَةَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ فَقَالَتْ إِحْدَاهُنَّ إِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ لِإِحْدَانَا جِلْبَابٌ؟ قَالَ «فَلْتُعِرْهَا أُخْتُهَا مِنْ جِلْبَابِهَا»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to bring out the virgins, the adolescent girls, the secluded ones, and the menstruating women on the two Eids. As for the menstruating women, they would keep away from the prayer place and witness the good and the supplication of the Muslims. One of them said: 'What if one of us does not have a jilbab?' He said: 'Let her sister lend her one of her jilbabs.'
