أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ عَنِ ابْنِ الْهَادِ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ سَرْجِسٍ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ
رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُو يَمُوتُ وَعِنْدَهُ قَدَحٌ فِيهِ مَاءٌ يُدْخِلُ يَدَهُ فِي الْقَدَحِ يَمْسَحُ وَجْهَهُ بِالْمَاءِ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ «اللهُمَّ أَعِنِّي عَلَى سَكَرَاتِ الْمَوْتِ»

✧ I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was dying, and there was a cup with water near him. He would put his hand into the cup and wipe his face with the water, then say: “O Allah, help me against the agonies of death.”
